Have been thinking about the "questions" in my previous LJ post and have decided that I will be driving up to Nordkapp, avoid Belarus/Ukraine, go to Poland instead of Czech/Slovak Republics but will be going to the Czech/Slovak Republics and Ukraine/Belarus in my next Europe travel. I've also decided that I will be taking my car, though will need to obtain steel wheels and find garaged car parks in St Petersburg.

Bit disappointed that I won't be visiting Ukraine, but personal safety is important I guess, and it means I can spend more time in Northern Scandinavia, also the Cyrillic alphabet would defeat me quite quickly ;)

I've also updated the planning list (again!) to reflect the previous changes. I also have emailed my rellies in Stockholm, asked some deaf people to give me contacts of deaf people in Europe - so hopefully I can start to flesh out the list properly.

Hoping to start on the Baltic states tomorrow, and possibly Poland so I can visit Gemma's brother and his wife soon for more excellent advice.
